The video could see the narrator's,the English girl and the American sailor expression while the book could not.

The settings are at different place and the English girl accepted the cigarette,and we could see the expression of the characters.

the video could see the appeareance of the chracter and their facial expreesion and know better how the chracter looks like and have a better impression.

We can see the reaction and the process of the bet clearly when we see the video while the book we can only visualize the impression of the character and their appearence.

The video shows us the facial expression. It let us know better about the feelings about the characters and let us know better about the story.
