My question is based on (K)
What can perkins do if he did something on jocelyn fortescue, which he thought is galloping fortescue?
Hello(:
My question...
Why is he named 'galloping foxley'??
Is it his real name or a nick name??
Thank YOU!
-Navin[34]
Hi,
My question is that why is the narrator so observant when he goes to work and why he knows whether he is late or not without looking up to know which station they are stopped at.
Daryl
CryStaL saY...
This is a questions based on(w)
- i would like to ask you how did the narrator identify that the stranger is Gallopy Foxley? Does he have any unique things that can resemble hi. For example, a mole on his left cheek.
Hellos ,
Joslyn here ..
My Galloping Foxley is [W] :
What is the characteristics of Perkins ? Can I say that he is observence because he knows the features on the Galloping Foxley face ? Like a mole on his left cheek and by the way he swings his cane ?
Patrix: If Jocelyn were actually Foxley, perhaps Perkins want to see his immediate reaction (his awkwardness)when he recalls what he has done to Perkins?
What do you think?
:) mdm d3wi
babayboi Navin:
Do you recall in the story that when Foxley wants to bash/beat up Perkins, he's stand few metres away and 'gallop' towards Perkins?
Hence his nickname..I don't think it's is real name..
Imagine yourself being called 'Grinning Navin'? Sounds weird right? (but these days we have lotsa funny names..haveu heard of the guy who's named Batman by his dad?) lol

daryl: if i were to ask you where is the libary over at Compass Point - would you be able to tell me? what abt the Cold Storage supermarket? And how many LRT station away is Ranggung from CP?
These things you'll know coz you're so familar with them.
Perkins has been doing the same thing for many years..the brain stores information, like a memory card. And the body remembers daily action.
mdm d3wi
xxxcrystalxxx: he may have..read the story carefully. sometimes other people have similar facial features, e.g you may have the same hairstyle as your sister, etc?

This question is base on(w)
Why did Foxley not beat Perkins for commiting lots of beatable offence?
Carrissa.
hi crsytal,
He could have done that..thing is, the offence was committed when they were all still young and immature..Perkins is a grown-up now, do you think physical vengeance is neccessary?
gimme ur thots..

The question I wish to ask is based on (W).
QN:How can Perkins be so sure that the person in the train with him is Galloping Foxley?Even if there is some similar feature, there should be a change as Perkins didn't seen Galloping Foxley for many year?
By:huifen
Hell0..
My question is::
What is the characteristics or features of Galloping foxley or the narrator itself?
~IyLiA(=
Why does the narrater still remember about Gallopy Foxley?
Joey.Y
HELLOS(:
shirley here,
i would like to ask you that why perkins did not rebel or choose not to listen to foxley when he bully him in his first year of school.
Wah cher know how to answer the question using some descriptive thingy...Impressive
Mdm D3wi: My question is that if he had done something to the wrong person what can he do...not about if "actually"...so can i have my answer pls...
well patrix...perkins could give him a piece of his mind (perhaps scold or reprimand him)...perhaps perkins could beat him up *lol*...what do YOU think Perkins could do?
Huifen: Imagine someone that's familiar to you..say your bestfriend or even your favourite object (your soft toy or dolly), there must be some prominent feature abt this person (or thing) that makes you know that its yours..
In this case, GF has left a deep mark on Perkins to make Perkins remember him...(say eg a mole...or even the manner he used to walk, etc..)
What say you?
Hola Nadhirah & Joey :
The features are described in the story - do HIGHLIGHT them for discussion in class ok?
and Joey..if someone has done something very nice or very hurtful (in other words, enough to leave a deep impression), won't you remember the person or the incident?
So gals, similar to my answer to Huifen, there must be some things n GF that allow Perkins to think remember him..do you think that Perkins might have a big memory bank? ;)
Shirley, pple are different at different stages of their lives. Not everyone is born brave or tactful or clever. Some learnt through mistakes and others simply learn through encounters with situations.
Perhaps Perkins was a frail skinny boy from a different background? Perhaps he has lived a sheltered life and was not exposed to mixing with other kids?
What abt you - do you think you have changed in character as compared to the time when you were in primary sch?... ;)
Mdm D3wi: If perkin were likely to beat him up , i think perkin should apologise and say why did he beaten him and what made him into beating .......(saying the truth)
Patrix: But does that take place at all? (referring to Perkin's potential beating of Foxley)
>>>If perkin were likely to beat him up , i think perkin should apologise and say why did he beaten him and what made him into beating
Hmm..what abt Foxley? Should the stranger turn out to be Foxley, don't you think Foxley owe Perkins apologies instead, since he's bullied Perkins mercilessly when thery were younger?
Good thinking Patrix!
way to go :)
